William G. Melki

William’s practice focuses on cross-border transactions and international finance, with particular depth in private equity, venture capital, and capital markets. He advises corporate groups, financial institutions, and emerging companies across the full transaction cycle, acting on the buy-side, sell-side, and investor side, and advising companies and fund managers on capital raising, bringing a 360-degree perspective to deal structuring and execution. His work frequently involves transactions with no established precedent.

His transactional work is complemented by a specialized practice in international sanctions compliance and cross-border dispute resolution, including international and investment arbitration before leading institutions.

He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Lebanese American University (LAU), where he teaches Investment Funds for lawyers and Technology and Startup law in the LLM program.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Melki trained in the corporate finance department of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP in London.
